Garment Compensation Terms & Conditions
a. We exercise the utmost care in processing articles that are entrusted to us and clean each article using the method best suited to the fabric nature, construction and condition.
b. We cannot assume responsibility for any inherent weaknesses or defects in the material that are not visibly apparent prior to cleaning. This applies particularly, but not exclusively, to materials such as suede, leathers, silks, satin, double-face fabric, vinyl, polyurethanes, etc.
c. We cannot assume responsibility for any colour loss or shrinkage due to fabric limitations that is beyond our care methods.
d. Any ornaments, special buttons or accessories must be removed by the customer. We will not be responsible for loss or damage to trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, shoulder pads and sequins etc. In the event that trimming, buckles, beads, buttons, accessories that are non-detachable from the fabric due to the design, we are not responsible for the damage of such accessories during processing.
e. In the event of loss by fire, any loss or damages to the article due to our negligence, for which we may accept liability, such liability shall not exceed 10 times the rate charged for cleaning the article, and the claim should be made within 24 hours after the receipt of the article. For claims, the original receipt must be presented and such claim shall be deemed not exceeding the amount of S$250.00 for any article unless the value of the article is declared in writing prior to cleaning.
f. For any article in which the declared value exceeds S$250.00, there will be a different cleaning charge. In the event of loss or damage to the declared article, the maximum liability shall be 10 times the rate charged for cleaning the article.
g. Subject to the maximum liability defined in clause 5 and 6, compensation shall be made in accordance with “The American National Standard 1998 Fair Claim Guide for Consumer Textile Products”.
h. The article, whether partially or completely damaged, must be retained by us upon full settlement of claims unless otherwise agreed by us.
i. All articles entrusted to us for cleaning must be claimed within one month from the date of receipt. Any unclaimed item will be disposed of after the expiry date unless otherwise specified to the time of depositing the article for cleaning.
